Own photo lab

In addition to the partner labs, you can also connect almost any other photo laboratory to your online gallery. We transfer the ordered photos to your lab via FTP. We explain here what requirements your lab must meet and what you need to bear in mind when setting it up.

FTP access data

Your lab must have an FTP server so that we can transfer the orders to your lab. Ask your lab for the access data for the FTP server and enter it in the corresponding fields in your admin area under Settings / Labs / Own lab.

XML file

We transfer the orders to the lab in an XML file. This contains all relevant information about the order, such as which photo is to be produced in which format. Your lab must be able to read our XML files. You can find an example XML file here:

Create formats

Once you have entered the FTP access data for your own lab in your admin area, you can create new lab formats or link existing formats to your own lab. For each format of your own lab, you must enter the optimum pixel values in the admin area. You will receive this information from your lab.

Go to Formats & Products / Formats & Packages and set your own lab for your formats under Type of format / Lab. Enter the optimum pixel values for this format below. Optionally, you can also enter the internal product name.

Place a test order to check that you have set everything up correctly and that your orders are transferred to the lab server.
