Set up Lightroom plugin & FTP

You can upload the photos directly with Adobe Lightroom Classic or via FTP. We offer a free plugin for Lightroom Classic that allows you to upload directly to your online gallery. You will receive special access data from us for the FTP upload.

Uploading with Lightroom Classic or FTP works in all PRO and PLATINUM galleries.

Uploading with Adobe Lightroom

Click on Settings / Lightroom & FTP in the admin area of your online gallery. You must activate the function here. After saving, you will see your FTP access data, which you can use for Lightroom & FTP in future.

Install plugin

To upload photos with Lightroom Classic, you need our free Lightroom plugin.

Download the Lightroom plugin

Please unzip the ZIP archive to any location on your computer. After installation, click on Export... in Lightroom Classic. and then click on Additional Module Manager ... and then click on Add. A window will open in which you can select the folder of the add-on module. Then click on Select folder.

The add-on module is now installed and can be set up. Click on Done. In the Export window, you can now select the new portraitbox Upload module under Export to:.

In the portraitbox settings area, enter your access data under FTP access data - Edit .... Do not change any server paths, protocols or other settings. You can find your access data in the admin area under Settings / Lightroom & FTP / Activate upload with Lightroom/FTP.

Upload photos

In the Portraitbox settings area, select the type of customer (classic customer or kindergarten/school) and enter the customer and photo album. These fields must be completed. We will then upload your selected photos to the customer's album. If the customer does not yet exist in your online gallery, you can simply enter the desired name and album and a new customer will be created in the online gallery as a result of the upload.

If the customer already exists in your online gallery, enter the customer's user folder under Customer. You can find this in the customer under Customer data / Lightroom / FTP access / Directory structure for your photos. You can also use this to export photos to existing customers at a later date.

You can leave all other settings as they are. If you wish, you can use Lightroom Classic to adjust the image size when exporting.
